Multi Media Mayhem

19th August 2010

Oink. Hello. (I’m not sure why ‘Oink’, sorry).
Well well. All of a sudden we are to be assaulting not only your ears but your eyes!
I have three items of news for you.

1. We have been asked to make a video for one of the songs by Carl Spring, a photographer who happened to be taking photos the night I played at Skegness Embassy. He has never done a music video before but has made some skate films and wanted to branch out. We are the guinea pigs. You may have noted on Facebook/Twitter, us asking you which song you thought we should use and the majority of you voted either Rose or Embers. HOWEVER, we have decided to use Closer. (It was my original inclination and a couple of rogue voters managed to persuade me to go with my gut). Which just goes to show how much we love you. Murrell knows best.

2. I made a random friend on myspace earlier in the year. A producer from New Jersey by the name of Fluu who happens to love our music and after hearing Closer has expressed an interest in doing a remix of it. I’m not sure when exactly it will happen but shall keep you posted.

3. Just the other day I was perusing my Twitter feed when I noted a friend had retweeted a request for some original music to use for the soundtrack of an independent film they’re making. So I directed them here to listen and see if anything grabbed them.
The film is called The Death Of Aiden Ardley and I am informed is “a gripping thriller about a woman scorned” which apparently will be viewed by a few big names in the UK film industry and will go round film festivals so hopefully will gain us some exposure.
The writer and director of the film is Claire Lucas. This is what she said:

“I’m so pleased that you want to be part of the film, the music is so important to create the right atmosphere and as soon as I heard “Closer” I knew that it was perfect for “The Death of Aiden Ardley”.
I’ve listened to all your tracks on your myspace page and, along with the soundtrack manager, we both really feel that “Closer” and “Rose” are perfect for the film.
The songs will be used during the film, and then we would like to use “Rose” for the end credits.”

So that is cool…?
Filming takes place in late September and I will keep you posted when all the post production is done and there is something you can see and experience.

Good oh. Bye.

PS Here is some bad spelling and sentence constuction for you to tut at.

I know you can’t read it from there, it says
“Our cakes, puddings and deserts may contain nuts, or are prepared in an area containing nuts”
